Carol Chappell Dalton

Gaffney, South Carolina – Carol Chappell Dalton, 77, of Gaffney, South Carolina, formerly of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Cherokee Medical Center.

Graveside memorial rites will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born April 13, 1948, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the wife of the late Clyde Lamar Dalton and the daughter of the late William “Bill” Chappell and Esthera Hudson Chappell.

Mrs. Carol Dalton was a gifted entrepreneur with a true heart for serving others. Over the years, she shared her talents and dedication as the co-owner of Carol’s Chicken, the owner and operator of HiEnergy Weight Loss and as a devoted Real Estate Agent and Broker.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Carol lived out her faith daily. A devoted Christian, she spent her early morning hours listening to the Word of God and drawing strength from it. She poured her time and love into the Colquitt County community through the Christian Women’s Club, where she encouraged and uplifted countless women. She also served for many years as a children’s church leader, joyfully teaching little ones about God’s love and planting seeds of faith that will continue to grow for generations.

Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud and loving mother who cherished her children, guiding them with wisdom, prayer, and unconditional love. Her legacy is not only found in the businesses she built but in the lives she touched through her kindness, guidance, and unwavering faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Michelle Dalton Moss (Brice) of Gaffney and Cari Dalton Huante (Jamie) of Moultrie; a son, Michael Dalton (Meghan) of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Dalton Moss (MaryAnn), Hudson Moss (Dori), Hannah Huante, Selah Huante, Claire Dalton and Lydia Dalton; four great-grandchildren, Susie, Tuff, Sawyer and Walker.

Mrs. Dalton was preceded in death by a son, Marcus Lamar Dalton; and two brothers, Wade Chappell and William “Billy” Jefferson Chappell.
