Carla Ann Griffin

Norman Park, Georgia – Carla Ann Griffin, 70, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Born November 12, 1954, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Richard James Coppock and the late Sylvia Louise Murphy Spader.

She is also preceded in death by her twin sister, Carol Coppock, and niece, Anna Rich.

She was a talented seamstress, having retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company, and had also worked at Nesmith Nursery. Some of Carla’s happiest days were spent with a bag of good potting soil and a new plant. She loved home cooked dinners with good, fresh vegetables, preferably with cornbread.

Her constant companions for the last few years were her dog, Speck, and cat, Kiki. They were her greatest source of comfort.

Survivors include her daughter, Daphne Lena Griffin; son, Lucas Griffin and wife, Sara; sister, Deb Weldon and husband, Eddie, of Ty Ty; nephews, Kevin Coppock and wife, Holli, and Shaun Coppock; as well as other extended family members and friends.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
