MOULTRIE, GA- Brady Brock, 88, of Moultrie, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Matt Peek, Reverend Brian Blackburn, and the Reverend Hugh Ward officiating. 

The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born July 22, 1935, in Climax, Georgia, he was the son of the late Homer Anderson Brock and Lottie Harris Brock.  Brady was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie.   He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and continued his education by graduating from Valdosta State College, with a Bachelor’s in education, a Master’s in Education and a Educational Specialist degree.  Mr. Brady had a wonderful career in the Colquitt County School System as a history teacher at Norman Park High School, Moultrie Jr. High School, principal at Berlin and Cox Elementary School and retired in 1994.   He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the American Legion.   After retirement his hobbies were gardening, fishing and playing golf. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Brock; grandparents, Vivianna Lodge Harris and Augustus Harris, Wiley Andrew Brock and Mollie Newsome Brock; siblings, Lawrence Brock, Inez Brock, Molly Brock Young, Carey Brock, Harold Brock, Grady Brock, Lavern Brock Mayhew, Howard Brock and Eugene Brock. 

Survivors include his beloved wife, Janice Faye Hunter Brock of Moultrie; children, Matthew Brock and wife Tammy of Athens, Jason Brock and wife Melissa of Chula; grandchildren, Jesse Brock and wife Kelsey, Ansley Brock, Allison Brock, Laura Kate Brock and Benjamin Brock; great-grandchildren, Oliver Brock; siblings, Ronald Brock and wife Phoebe, Donald Brock all of Sylvester, Joe Brock, Jr. and wife Donna of Leesburg; several other extended family members and friends. 

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Moultrie, 400 S. Main Street, Moultrie, GA. 31768.
