Moultrie, Georgia – Bonnie Louise Young Giles, 74, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Reverend Nick Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM, Saturday, at Trinity Baptist Church.

Casketbearers will be David Causey, Turner Causey, Jaxon Tull, Adam Giles, James Holmes and Jamie Demott.

Born August 24, 1950, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Brazzle Augusta Young, Sr. and Mae Roberts Young.

She was employed with the University of Georgia as the Director of the Head Start Program in Colquitt County for many years. A faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church, she loved children, was a dedicated caregiver with a servant’s heart and enjoyed tending her flowers. She was also the owner of Mrs. Bonnie’s Daycare.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lamar Giles, and stepdaughter, Jennifer Giles.

Survivors include her children, David Causey and wife Lee, Cindy Bullington, Greg Giles, Brian Giles and wife Amy; grandchildren, Turner Causey, Jamie Brooks, Courtney Harrelson, Adam Giles and wife Candace, Camden Massey and wife Sydney, Dawson Massey, Kenneth Giles, Brittany Giles, Megan Giles, Blake Giles, Keith Giles; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Tull, Clayton Harrelson, Kelsie Harrelson, Khloe Harrelson, Ty Giles, Lilly Giles, Maddison Giles, Madilyn Giles; brother, Brazzle Augusta “Brab” Young, Jr.; niece and nephew, Felicia Richardson and husband Spenser, Brock Young and wife Landi; great-nieces, Eliza Richardson, Evelyn Richardson; great-nephew, Charlie Young; special caregivers, Lisa Rowe, Collette Smiley and Stacey McMurphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in her memory.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
