Bobby Kenneth Rooks

Bobby Kenneth Rooks, 86, of Moultrie, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at Magnolia Manor.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Litchard and Reverend Billy Farran officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born March 12, 1936, in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Isaac Heziciah Rooks and Josie Pearl Brinkley Rooks.  Mr. Rooks worked for several grocery stores including Harvey’s Supermarket.   He loved his family especially his grandchildren.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the guitar and teasing others and just having fun with his many friends.  As a dedicated member of Eastside Baptist Church, he loved attending church and loved his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Duane Rooks; brother, Dean Rooks; sister-in-law, Margret Rooks.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Annette Lamb Rooks, son, Kevin Rooks and Alice of Moultrie; grandchildren, Garett Rooks and Paxton Rooks.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
