Billy Joe Coleman

MOULTRIE, GA- Billy Joe Coleman, 61, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at World Truth Tabernacle in Thomasville, GA, with the Reverend Gary Simpson officiating.  Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville, GA.

The family will greet friends after the service at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Born November 30, 1961, in Lynchburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Ronald “Ronny” Coleman and Barbara Simpson Collier.  Mr. Coleman was an extremely talented carpenter and he also enjoyed drawing.  Mr. Coleman was a humble, caring, and good husband, father, and grandfather, who was always willing to help others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Otis Coleman.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Jan “Janie” Watson Coleman of Moultrie, GA; children, Daniel Gonzales of California, Sheryl Coleman, Denise Coleman both of Philadelphia, PA, Tonya Holiday of Savannah, GA, Nikki Register of Lake City, FL; eight grandchildren; siblings, Trevor Collier of California, Johnny Gee of Kansas, Bobbie Bently of Alabama; special cousins, Karen and Gary Simpson; numerous extended family members and friends.
