Moultrie, Georgia – Beverly Gae Hancock Sanchez, 72, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Jon Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Tuesday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be McKinnon Cooper, Aspen Hamilton, Kaden Sanchez, Dusty Moore, Steven Burgess and Tanner Walker.
Born August 1, 1953, in Camp Polk, Louisiana, she was a daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln Hancock and the late Iris Marie Barfield Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Debra Gibson Smith and Teresa Renee Daniels; grandparents, A.J. and Hattie Lou Barfield; and stepfather, Auley Gibson.
Survivors include her husband, Elizbel Valentin “Billy” Sanchez; children, Amie Marie Creech and husband, Jeffery, Tracy Sanchez and partner, Tom Boudreau, Corey Sanchez and wife, Jennifer, Yolanda Lara Hernandez; grandchildren, Mackenzie Burgess and husband, Steven, McKinnon Cooper and wife, Heather, Aspen Hamilton and wife, Lauren, Ashlyn Hamilton, Kayla Sanchez, Kaden Sanchez and wife, Skylar, Kaylee Sanchez Walker and husband, Tanner, William Henandez; great-grandchildren, Bristol Burgess, Scarlett Cooper, Niklaus Cooper, Ryker Cooper, Aiden Hamilton, Mason Hamilton, Logan Sanchez, Kinsely Grace Sanchez, Renlee Rose Zora Sanchez; sister, Tamara Dawn Messer and husband, Jerry; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
A talented seamstress at Riverside Manufacturing for many years, she enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, collecting Avon, traveling, shopping, collecting dolls, but most importantly, spending time with family.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
