Betty Jean Hall, a retired seamstress at Riverside Manufacturing, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. Born on September 16, 1951, in Pelham Ga, Betty was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Troy Barton.
Betty dedicated many years of her life to her career as a seamstress at Riverside Manufacturing. Her skillful and meticulous work was admired by all who knew her. She took great pride in her craft and always ensured that each garment she worked on was perfect.
Outside of work, Betty had an array of hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden, nurturing vibrant flowers and cultivating beautiful plants. Quilting was another passion of hers; she poured her heart into creating intricate quilts that will be cherished for generations to come.
Betty's true happiness came from spending time with her loved ones. Family gatherings were especially treasured moments for her as they allowed her to connect with her siblings, sisters Corrine Willoughby, Faye Burnham, and Elizabeth Barton, brothers Norris Barton, Dennis Barton, Darrel Barton, Willard Barton, and Glenn David Barton. She shared a special bond with each of them that was built on love and support.
In addition to her siblings, Betty is survived by her daughter Rebecca Davidson and husband Tommy of Moultrie, son Michael Whitfield of Albany, grandchildren Heather Shiflett and husband Todd, Justin Griffin and wife Patsy, and great-grandchildren Jesse Shiflett and Colton Shiflett. Her family was the source of immense pride and joy for Betty; their achievements brought a sparkle to her eyes.
Beyond her career and hobbies, Betty embraced modern forms of entertainment as well. Playing cards, engaging in video games, and watching movies provided her with hours of amusement. She approached every activity with enthusiasm and a playful spirit, always ready to make memories with her friends and family.
The celebration of Betty's life will take place on October 10, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel in Moultrie, GA. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, and friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 10:00-10:45 am.
Betty Jean Hall's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her. Her kind heart, fiery spirit, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones will be deeply missed. May her memory forever inspire us to live each day with love, joy, and a spirit of generosity.
