Betty Ann Strickland Craft, 93, of Doerun, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Doerun with Dr. David Benton, Reverend Jerome Ethridge, and the Reverend Tim Henry officiating. Interment will follow in Doerun Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church of Doerun.
Casketbearers will be the former students of Kiddie Craft Kindergarten, Eric Hall, Parker Kimbrell, Chad Kimbrell, Darren Hembree, Tom Chatman and Elkin Chatman.
Born June 25, 1930, in Walterboro, SC, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Strickland and stepfather, Joseph Bowen and Sue Miliron Strickland Bowen. Mrs. Betty was the teacher/owner of Kiddie Kraft Kindergarten and was a member of First Baptist Church of Doerun. She loved the Lord, her family, and her church family. She was an organist for many years and was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of Doerun. Mrs. Betty enjoyed traveling and making crafts and painting. She was a faithful, humble servant who touched several lives and will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Craft; son, David Craft; grandson, Zachary Craft.
Survivors include her children, Dennis Craft and wife Denise of Broxton, GA, Scott Craft of Doerun; grandchildren, Ben Craft and McKenzie, Levi Craft and Courtney, Daniel Craft, Christina Craft, Tyler Craft, and Alyssa Craft; great-grandchildren, John Clay Craft, Hadley Beth Craft, Bridger Craft and Ella Craft; niece, Katrine Behland of Tifton.
