Bennie William Carter, Jr., 76, of Waycross, died Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Hospice House in Waycross.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born November 30, 1943 in Pelham, GA, he was the son of the late Bennie William Carter, Sr. and Lottie Rayford Carter. Mr. Carter was a self-employed block mason. His family remembers how he loved his family and being with the grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, puzzle books, watching Netflix, and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Linda Fay Carter Crase, Dessie Davis Carter, Loretta Carter; children, Penny Carter, James “Buddy” Castleberry, Randall Castleberry; sister, Evelyn McMurphy.
Survivors include his children, Louanna Castleberry of Moultrie; Sondra Castleberry-Griffin of Chula, GA, Billy Carter and wife Debra of Cartersville, GA, Virgil Carter and wife Kim Lee of Blackshear, GA, Tony Castleberry of Moultrie, GA, Joseph Carter of Ray City, GA, Chris Carter and wife Dyann of Moultrie, GA, Monia Lee Laskey of Moultrie, Christa Gale Carter of Moultrie, GA; James Paul Beasley and wife Mabel of Prattville, AL; thirty-two grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
