Annette Motley Garner

September 15, 1935 — November 5, 2022

MOULTRIE, GA – Annette Motley Garner, 87, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Legacy Village at Park Regency.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:40AM Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Born September 15, 1935, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Harmon Motley and Josephine Mercer Motley.  Mrs. Annette retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and was a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Leesburg, Georgia.   She loved her family, friends and especially her knock-out roses.  Mrs. Annette enjoyed eating sweets, traveling, sitting outside watching the hummingbirds.  The family would like to thank the sweet “babies” at Legacy Village who loved her and took such great care of her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Hank” Garner, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Ricky Hobgood and wife Sharon, Marcella Wood and husband Mark all of Moultrie, Angela Akins and husband George of TyTy; step-children, Bill Garner and wife Mary of Lexington, KY, Lee Ann Higgins of Junction City, KY, Sue Cates and husband Lee of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Joe Seebeck,  Becky Reagan and husband Hunter, Krista Hammaker and husband Andrew, Deann Akins-Lewenthal and husband John, Reece Akins and wife Jill; step-grandchildren, Anna Mary Garner, Beth Harper and husband Tommy, Bill Garner, Jr. and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren, Bella Reagan, Eliza Jane Reagan, Taylor Akins, Marley Akins; step-great-grandchildren, Emerson Harper, Anne Bell Harper, Owen Harper, Brooke Garner; brothers, John Motley of Jefferson, GA, James Motley and wife Brenda of Moultrie; sweet fur baby of 12 years, Lady.
