Alvin Huell Thomas, Sr.

Alvin Huell Thomas, Sr., 87, of Perry, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry, Georgia.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Chris Walden officiating. 

Born February 4, 1934, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Huell Thomas and Ethelene Weldon Thomas.  Mr. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.   he retired as a self-employed truck driver and was a member of the Young Christian Crusade.   Mr. Thomas loved serving the Lord through Jail Ministry, witnessing, singing and dancing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Alvin Thomas, Jr.; sisters, Betty Cook, Bobbie Klein and Zadie Dabdoub.

Survivors include his son, Steven W. Thomas of Perry, Georgia; daughters, Cindy Ann Thomas of Kathleen, Georgia, Starla D. Thomas of Perry, Georgia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
